  • Let’s talk running .... goodness me ... there has been much talk of my choice and statement regarding cardio and running so let’s set it straight - ‘The run - VS - no run - VS - run long - VS - run short - VS - run speed - ➕let’s break it down without your body breaking down. I’ll share my findings and how I’ve maintained this body thus far. ➕I run quality only. I limit run / walks to a maximum of 30 mins which is approx 5km-8km. I walk fast or a run/walk with efforts but no matter what ➕ I focus; I run as fast as my body can take me; I want to sweat 😓 as I have taken the time to get my gear on and leave other jobs aside so this is the time to put in. ➕I don’t sit on my phone 📱 or fiddle with song choice instead I think about my muscles switching on because I live in the present of every situation. ↪️I do not run long anymore due to time limits; due to no patience for it any longer and due to body breakdown particularly in my knees and hips. My body is at this stage and I accept it for what it is rather than fight it. I found running long counter-productive to my body and health as I only was getting injured, being fatigued all day at work, my muscles were not shaping they were long and lean but not filling my skin. I looked older. My face showed the signs of my stress from the run. I spent so much time on the road or trail yet I was seeing no result for effort or stress. This is why excess cardio and long runs don’t work anymore. My body and mind required more structure and quality to maintain shapely muscle and retain skin structure and elasticity. ➕ if you personally live for and love running long distance - go for it!!! Enjoy it! But if you are struggling physically try my approach. ↪️I reviewed the entire fitness and food process and this has been very effective and I have written a brand new program for the time poor Mama and cannot wait to share it. Eeekkkkkk! New book launch soon!! #blivewear #running #newbalance #rebelsport #healthy #quality #fitmama

I experienced it myself. As you age the running just takes its toll on your body. And you get better results doing something else in the same amount of time

Can't wait for the new book. Any hints on pre-order date?

I run 7km everyday and have for at least 18 years! I love it my body loves it and I fortunately have no aches or pains in any of my joints. However as I am now 35 a recent composition scan revealed all my cardio was hampering my bone density and muscle strength. I am still running but now incorporating weights, feeling stronger and better!

Getting closer and closer to the big 50 and finding it harder and harder to keep the weight off.. thanks to you @belinda.n.x , I know shorter sessions of running 🏃‍♀️ (with intervals) as well as high quality HIT sessions is the best way to do so!! Thank you @belinda.n.x for the greatest Inspo and proven advice for the hard working Mummas out there trying to build the best body for our health and family ! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
