  • First new piece for summer 2019. There are two main things I consider when making my jewelry. One, I make production pieces. Items that are detailed but easy to make, keeping the price down. I make between 10 and 80 of each design. I Solder ever one myself. Kevin sets the stones, picking different colors for every single one, making them all “One of a kinds”. Two, I make art pieces. There is no consideration for size, Sale-ability, function or even taste. I make what the hell I want. Start brooch, production piece. The goal was to make a simple star brooch that’s dramatic with a even balance between stones and metal. I included a few pictures of my construction process. P.S. I show in the seventh and eight photo, an example of a three part pin back verses a one part pin back. Always look for three part pin backs as they are stronger and more durable then a one part pin back. I find one part pin backs are either glued to the back of the pin or the jeweler wanted to speed up the construction process sacrificing the durability of the piece. Inquiries at [email protected] or dm. #jewelrymaker #instagramjewelry #canadianmade #madeintoronto #handmadeincanada #vintagebrooch #vintagenecklace #artdecojewelry #artnouveaujewelry #artnouveau #vintagejewelry #vintagejewellery #oneofakindshow #vintageaccessories #OOAK19 #ooakdiaries #torontoshopping #costumejewellery #costumejewelry #bringbackthebrooch #broochesareback #jewelrymaker #fashionover40 #fashionover50 #fashionover60 #jewelryartist #womenwithstyle #agelessstyle #artjewelry #arttowear

Thanks so much for the tutorial on pin backs. Now I know why I prefer some backs of pins more than others! I buy for resale and now know what to watch for! So exciting!
