  • A long time ago (I reckon it was year 2000) during monsoon season, my family moved in our own house in Pune. It was raining cats and dogs and we were all tired of unpacking so we decided to get some food from outside. . . In those days we didn’t have any delivery companies or websites so I decided to go on my scooter and explore the area. I took my younger sister Kanchu @jimmykanchoo with me and we went for a food hunt and then we stumbled upon a small shack “Chings Chinese”. The menu they had was extensive, you name it and they had it. 😅 . . So that night was the first time I had “Vegetarian Manchurian”, it was oily, it was filled with red colour, smelled of that infamous MSG which we called Ajinomoto 😅 but somehow it was comforting. ❤️ After having that my mum decided she is never going to have it again 😆. My dad decided he is not even going to touch it and I got a proper scolding 🙈 so mum had to cook something for him 🙈 but me and my sisters loved it and continue to love it! ❤️❤️ . . . Years later I got married to someone who happens to be a hardcore Fan of this cuisine and cooks a mean “Chilli Chicken”. He always wants either chilli chicken or Manchurian or chilli cauliflower, all that good fried deliciousness! But I on the other hand who likes this cuisine but doesn’t like frying that much so I came up with a recipe which is slightly healthy and I can have it without any guilt. 😅 . . So last night after I posted my story, a lot of you asked me to share the recipe, so I decided to do it. God we used to eat this so much in India. Sydney don't have Indo Chinese cuisine unless I make it at home. This looks so good.
