Some weeks feel so bumpy and achy... I arrived to Friday drained and disappointed but still, I was dying to go to the mountain and willing to wake up at 6am, again🤷🏻‍♀️

When we got there I was so certain I wouldn’t make it...Hiking with professional alpinists can be both inspiring and intimidating 😅
~
Then without knowing exactly how, I made it to the top and saw this and reconciled with the world♥️ I was so happy, I was laughing and crying at the same time.
I love the mountain...It always reminds me of the immense beauty there’s out there and teaches me what I’m capable of doing when I completely forget it.

I was in Greece for the third time last weekend, my friends thought I was going to one of the mesmerising islands to escape from the Milanese cold.
They weren’t completely mistaken but this time though, I was heading to the lovely white mountains and to visit one of my best friends in Athens.
Did you know people actually go skiing in Greece? I must confess I didn’t 🙈

Travel tip: public transport is incredibly expensive for tourists in Venice. One single ride costs €7.5 so buy the daily pass instead, it costs €20 and you can use it in all Venice (including Mestre) and go to Burano and Murano 😉

You can buy the tickets in different selling points around Venice (there’s one in front of the train station and one in front of the Royal Gardens, in front of San Marco, for example) OR in the news agencies and “tabacchi shops” around the city😊

The colours, the food, the people...they say so much about the local culture..I think you can find much of the essence of the place if you go to markets.

Can you believe than in Mexico many people actually use those beautiful huge wooden spoons to cook? 😍 (in my house we’ve got a bunch of the small ones 😂)

And the wooden whisk, (“molinillo”) hidden among the spoons...that’s to prepare “Champurrado” o “atole”, a Mexican hot-thick drink prepared with chocolate, corn flour (ground dried corn) milk or water. Some people add cinnamon, anise seed or vanilla☕️😋
